CenEd Tours: Bringing Education and Practical Skills to Namibia’s Communities
In a country where many young people face limited opportunities, we aim to empower the next generation with practical skills, cultural pride, and a deep connection to their environment.
We’re looking for passionate volunteers to join us, from two weeks up to 3 months, sharing your expertise and helping to build a brighter, self-sufficient future for these children.
Together, we can create real change and unlock the potential of Namibia's youth.
Our program covers key areas:
Cultural and Historical Education: Children learn about Namibia's rich heritage, focusing on the traditions, languages, and stories of all 14 tribes, with special emphasis on the San people.
Nature and Environmental Education: Kids gain a deep understanding of Namibia’s unique flora and fauna, conservation practices, and survival skills.
Physical and Health Education: We promote body awareness, movement, and traditional health practices, including the basics of Namibian medicinal plants.
Technical and Vocational Education: Practical skills in woodworking, metalworking, plumbing, electrical work, and engine mechanics prepare children for future employment.
Creative Arts and Expression: Children explore their cultural identity through art, music, dance, and drama, building confidence and creativity.
CenEd Tours are immersive educational journeys designed to bring vital knowledge and practical skills directly to remote and underserved communities across Namibia.
Each month, skilled volunteers and experienced guides set out on a 12-day journey across the country, covering various regions where people lack access to basic educational resources and technical training.
With a strong focus on practical education, CenEd Tours empower local populations to develop self-sustaining skills that benefit both individuals and entire communities.
